Southill Stables facilities for horse livery, stabling and grazing
Stabling and paddocks
The stables are set in 22 acres of grazing, and have 21 boxes, 15 in the main yard and a further 6 boxes at the back of the main yard facing the car and lorry park, which has adequate parking for a number of cars, horse boxes and trailers. The yard is set in a sheltered area. There is also a tack room, feed and hay barn, toilet, laundry and rug room. The fields are split into 8 large paddocks, 1 small paddock, a diet paddock, and we also have a further 6 acre paddock with a barn for the all year round out horses to have shelter and have their hay.

Arena with floodlights
We have a 20m x 40m outdoor floodlit arena, the surface consists of sand, PVC and rubber. It has 500 metres of land drains and is rideable all year round.
The floodlights benefit those clients wishing to ride after work during the darker evenings.
Horsewalker
A horsewalker has been purchased and should be on site soon.

Paddocks and grazing
The 22 acres of grazing are divided into 10 paddocks, with a further 6 acre paddock with barn. The paddock fencing is currently being refurbished. Paddocks are cleared of droppings throughout the spring, summer and autumn.
A minimum of six paddocks are rested during the winter months and are harrowed, rolled and top dressed in early spring to provide fresh lush grass for horses to be turned out on.

Wintering out
For those horses who are required to winter out, we have a six acre sheltered paddock with a large barn in which they can shelter from the weather and enjoy their hay and feeds in the dry.
